"Love Notes"

Good news: "Love Notes" has been published and is now available!

Join us in celebration of Spark Craft Studios' first publication on Sunday, January 20th for a "Love Notes" book signing event. I'll be there with the two editors plus one of the other card designers, Renee DeBlois, between 12 and 2 pm with treats and a card making demo.

The three other contributing (and very talented!) artists are Wendy White, Kim Kesti, and Susan Weinroth.

The book is also available through Amazon.com in case you can't make it to the event but are still interested in getting a copy.

Happy crafting!

happy winter

Before we left to Williamstown earlier this week, I snapped a couple of photos of huge icicles that had formed outside our door after one of the winter storms swept through New England.

And then later when I got home I saw one of the knitted teacup cozies I made for Tony had been used earlier that day with a warm cup of tea. :)

I hope everyone had a nice holiday this year!

when it rains ...

... it certainly poured in our apartment! We had a big storm come through New England last Sunday, December 16th and unfortunately the what we thought was repaired ceiling in our computer room began leaking. A lot. Hence the large trash bucket. Luckily we were home and heard it start (not like one time when we were at work and came home to a super saturated carpet), so we caught a lot of it with buckets and towels.

And look at what I found at Target today in my size. My my, certainly my shade of green! :-)

friday morning

We got about 8 inches of snow from Thursday's storm. These are just a couple of photos on Friday morning during my walk to work. Gotta love snow boots.

first snow storm of the season

Well, they said it would be here at 1 pm today. And it was. Right on time.

This is what it looks like from inside the shop. We're closing early at 4. Thank goodness. Then I can trek home in my big snow boots through all this lovely white stuff.

santa & a doggy cookie

Ah, it's definitely time for the holidays. I know because I'm super busy. Too busy to update my blog(s)! Anyway, a couple of random photos. We were driving around on Sunday afternoon looking for a parking spot in Harvard Square and we saw Santa on a bike. See, even Santa's going green.
And then today on my way to work, I decided to stop by A Pet Spa on Somerville Avenue to get our Dad & Debbie's dog, Riley, a treat for Christmas. I've walked by there so many times and it's so cute because you can see the dogs being groomed through the windows. Anyway, they had this super cute doggy cookie that says "I {heart} Somerville" on it so I had to get one to send to Riley. I put it in a ziploc bag -- I hope my Dad realizes it's for Riley!
