a week full of cards

With Somerville Open Studios right around the corner (eeeeek! next weekend! oh my!!), I've been trying (said very lightly, I'm afraid) to keep at the card making this week. Although, my husband will tell you, I can be distracted quite easily ("what? a glass of wine? sure, why not?!" ... "a date night? okay okay."). Okay, make that very easily.

But I have to say, I'm proud of myself for being able to churn out a few new designs this week. And here they are ... also available in my Etsy shop.

Something a little new that I've been doing lately are these mini note cards. They're 3" square and perfect for my littler stamps.

Okay, so wish me luck that this weekend will turn out to be a productive one! I've got so many new stamps to play with from Papertrey Ink's latest release, so I hope I can make some cute cards. Stay tuned folks ...

... and TGIF!!!!! At last!!!

mark your calendar - may 2 + 3

Please mark you calendar to come by the Armory on Highland Avenue during the Somerville Open Studios on May 2 + 3. I will be there selling handmade greeting cards, small knitted items, and some sewing projects along with many talented local artists. The Armory is going to be one of the designated trolley stops along the map route (which is free by the way!), and is a new location for artists to show their wares this year. The only down side is that it was booked in advance for another event later in the evening on Sunday, so I will only be there from 12 to 2 pm that day.

But alas! The Design Hive Market is taking place on that Sunday (May 3) from 10 am to 5 pm at the Maria Baldwin School in Cambridge. So stop by the Armory from 12 to 2, and then head over there afterwards to check out the independent designers market from 2 to 5!

If you can or cannot make it to one of the show dates, I would love your support in helping to get the word out about SOS to your friends, neighbors, coworkers - anyone! Please consider printing out a flier - either this jpg file or this pdf file - and hanging it on a bulletin board at your office or at the coffee shop you frequent every day. Or forward this email to people that might be interested in this event!

Hope to see you there!
